De tiendas por Burgos (1750-1794)

Abstract

Las "visitas" que el concejo burgalés efectuó a las tiendas de los "tratos" (gremios) de la ciudad permiten entrever, aunque de una manera entrecortada y limitada, algunas de las tendencias económicas de la segunda mitad del XVIII. Producción y consumo, oferta y demanda responden, más ó menos elásticamente, al vaivén de las crisis y de las etapas de prosperidad. Las alegrías de los flujos de crecimiento se mutan en sufrimiento, hambre y cierre de establecimientos en las épocas de depresión y catástrofe.
