“La enfermedad invisible”. Un documental sobre la ansiedad

Abstract

La ansiedad es una enfermedad mental que actualmente está presentando un auge alarmante. Según datos de la Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS), en pleno 2019 el número de afectados por este problema ronda el 25% de la población y se estima que en unos años se pueda llegar a alcanzar el 50%. Los altos niveles de exigencia en los ritmos de vida, las redes sociales y, en sí, los nuevos estilos de vida del nuevo siglo han potenciado dicho aumento, desarrollando en el ser humano un sentimiento de incapacidad hacia la adversidad. Este estudio tiene como objetivo principal dar visibilidad a un problema que a ojos de muchas personas no existe, y que se presenta a través de un documental audiovisual en el que se relatan varias historias reales, las cuales no hacen más que demostrar la invisibilidad del problema y la necesidad de sacar a sus víctimas del aislamiento social.

Anxiety is a mental illness that is currently experiencing an alarming boom. According to data from the World Health Organization (WHO), in full 2019 the number of people affected by this problem is around 25% of the population and it is estimated that in a few years it can reach 50%. The high levels of demand in the rhythms of life, social networks and, in itself, the new lifestyles of the new century have promoted this increase, developing in the human being a feeling of inability towards adversity. The main objective of this study is to give visibility to a problem that in the eyes of many people does not exist, and which is presented through an audiovisual documentary in which several real stories are told which only demonstrate the invisibility of the problem and the need to remove their victims from social isolation.
