La desigualdad de género en la sociedad y su reflejo en el sistema prostitucional. Estudio del consumo y creencias del alumnado de la Universidad de Valladolid

Abstract

Este Trabajo de Fin de Grado constituye un estudio del sistema prostitucional desde el análisis de la desigualdad entre hombres y mujeres que sigue presente también en las sociedades formalmente igualitarias. Se estudia la prostitución como una cuestión de género y se trata de probar esta hipótesis a través de una investigación sobre las opiniones que el alumnado de la Universidad de Valladolid tiene sobre esta institución sexista. Para todo ello, haremos una crítica a la situación que vive la mujer en nuestra sociedad patriarcal, tomando un papel secundario en todos los ámbitos de la vida, pero centrándonos en el sexual y haciendo hincapié especialmente en la prostitución, aunque analizando también la pornografía y los medios audiovisuales. Veremos la mecánica de la “libre elección” que hace a las mujeres tomar decisiones que siguen patrones patriarcales, y cómo a través de la violencia simbólica las mujeres son invisibilizadas y representadas de formas que no corresponden con la realidad. Este trabajo centrará la atención en aquellas mujeres que sufren a diario las vejaciones y humillaciones correspondientes por encontrarse en situación de prostitución, pero no nos olvidaremos del papel fundamental que ocupan consumidores y proxenetas en esta institución que viola los derechos humanos de las mujeres obligadas o sin otra opción. Finalmente, haremos una investigación con una muestra no probabilística y casual tomando como participantes al alumnado de la Universidad de Valladolid que este curso 2019 -2020 esté estudiando un Grado con el fin de saber si consumen mujeres en prostitución y cuáles son sus opiniones sobre el sistema prostitucional. Además, nos servirá como demostración de que en nuestra muestra la prostitución sí es una cuestión de género.

The present dissertation constitutes a study regarding the prostitution system from the analysis of the inequality between men and women that continues to be present as well in formally egalitarian societies. Prostitution is studied as a gender issue and this thesis is about testing this hypothesis through an investigation of the opinions that students of the University of Valladolid have about this sexist institution. For this purpose, a critique will be made regarding the situation women live in our patriarchal society, having a secondary role in all areas of life, but focusing on the sexual sphere and especially emphasizing prostitution, although also analyzing pornography and audiovisual media. We will examine the mechanics of “free choice” the force women to make decisions following patriarchal patterns, and how, through symbolic violence, women are invisible and represented in ways that do not correspond to reality. This final degree project will focus its attention on those women who suffer the corresponding humiliation and humiliation every day for being in a prostitution situation, without forgetting the fundamental role that consumers and procurers play in this institution since they violate the human rights of forced or without any other option women. Finally, we will make a research with a non-probabilistic and casual sample, taking as participants the students of the University of Valladolid from the course 2019-2020 who are studying a Degree in order to know if they consume women in prostitution and their opinions about the prostitution system. Moreover, it will serve us as a demonstration that in our sample prostitution itself is a gender issue.
