This mobilized the Chilean authorities in the allocation of resources for the restoration of historic buildings and spaces of the city, as Spain has done. But the big difference is the type of heritage education promoted In this communication, we discuss the current state of the heritage of Valparaíso, the main proposals developed in the subject, the general deficiencies exist with regard to: economic policies, including teaching in museums, the role of culture in offices municipalities, educational work and the limited role that has had the political and educational development and assessment of the good of humanity. Also, will these issues in relation to progress in this area has Spain, the challenges faced today, and see the possibilities of achieving them in Chile, in order to generate debate around the need for all generations value their own history and cultural heritage that they are present.
