AB The subsequent years to the end of the Council of Trento, the bishops tried to reinforce their authority, such and as were deduced of the Council and of the confesionalist program of the Philipine Monarchy. One of their principal reefs found it in the chapters, that were representing the sector of the clergy more opposed to the reforming currents. In this context, the prelates will arrive to an agreement with the members of the chapters in order to avoid conflicts that could have altered the diocesan life.
