AB This paper attempts to look at the insights of tax regulations in XVID century Soria, before an after the change in the Treasury tax revenues system. Links and duties between Local and Royal taxation systems Which until 1750 required the intervention of the landlord-are examined. The tensions for the distribution of the income taxes aggravated late in the century due to both a deep crisis in the Treasury revenues and a blockage en farm production. Our research shows in real terms -and particularly for the case of the Lands of Soria- that the decrease in the per capita. Tax burden since the 1750s until the end of the century, does not represent an ease on the tax pressure due to either the decrease in farm production or to a very regressive sharing of tax burden.
