This conflict affected to the Hispanic-Venetian diplomacy, that was characterized by the Spanish Monarchy' attempts to avoid the loss of this bulwark of the Christianity and to prevent a peace treaty between the Republic of Venice and the Turks, which would leave in serious risk their Italian lands to the ottoman military invasion.
