AB Galician socialism now reaches, for the first time, an important degree of development which will enable it to play an important role in the politcs of the moment. Its action aims at the democratization of the galician Restoriation society, specially in its fight against the local despotism, and in trying to improve the living conditions of the working classes throughout the promulgation of social laws. In 1934 a radical stream within its bosom is clearly evident but, after the defeat of the October revolutionary strike, reformism and moderation once again will be the dominant feature due to the passivity of the agrarian and traditional Galicia of the 30's.
