AB The new Mars' votive Altar was found in an archaeological medieval context. Other Mars' Altars discovered in the sorrounding area support the importance of Mars in Complutum (Alcalá de Henares). The information of this kind of votive altars shows Mars as a pacificator of social conflicts, not as a god of war or an agricultural guardian.
