RT info:eu-repo/semantics/article T1 Representaciones solares en la epigrafía de Asturias A1 Santos Yanguas, Narciso Vicente A2 Ediciones Universidad de Valladolid K1 España-Historia K1 Historia antigua AB The most prominent iconography in the Asturias epigraphy documents is identified with the astral images, especially with the sun circle, sometimes symbolized with his rays. The documents which contain the sun circle epigraphic figures are oicomorphes inscriptions, not only for their typology that also for their connection with the deceased’s reception; these representations convert into the expression of the deceased’s survival after dead. These sun figures seem to imply a direct reference to afterlife; they symbolize the regeneration made from the king of the sky, the sun, with his daily rising: life comes up again for people residing in the netherworld SN 1130-0515 YR 2016 FD 2016 LK http://uvadoc.uva.es/handle/10324/23253 UL http://uvadoc.uva.es/handle/10324/23253 LA spa NO Hispania antiqua, 2016, N.40, pags.135-167 DS UVaDOC RD 19-sep-2024
