Method: 26 people of 65 years old formed the experimental group and 24 people of similar ages the Control Group (CG). The Experimental Group (EG) conducted the program for 8 months. To measure the variables we used the Senior Fitness Test (Rikli & Jones, 1999), the Self-steem Test of Rosenberg (1965) and the Fun questionnaire with the Sports Practice of Duda and Nicholls (1992). Statistics analysis were performed using MANOVA for PF, ANOVA for SE and Cronbach's Alpha for SA. Results: EG obtained a very positive satisfaction of the activity, one significant improvement for all variables of physical fitness, and a non-statistically-significant improvement in self-esteem. Conclusions: the participation in the physical activity program led to a significant improvement on the physical fitness level and to a high satisfaction with the activity, but it did not affect significantly on the participants self-esteem.
