Forensic medicine and forensic medicine should play a leading role in the study of gender violence and be present in the social debate about a problem that has transcended the technical and professional level to be at the heart of citizens' concerns and political agenda, circumstances that should lead to understand their special characteristics, especially its close relationship with cultural factors that have allowed its historic presence through justification and led to understand as normal within relationships. We must find the reasons that hinder the understanding of this issue and confuse gender violence with other violence that end in the same result or share the stage, the role of forensic medicine and forensic medicine is key, and therefore have Forensic strengthened Integral Value Units. In the attention to women in situations of domestic violence, health professionals must have always present the ethical principles of action and the rights that women have as patients.The specific situation of abuse and the vulnerability of women in these relationships characteristics as well as their children, need to pay special attention to these aspects.One of the most difficult situations and conflicts to which health professionals arising from the collision of legal obligations and ethical principles that govern the actions of health workers face.
