AB The aim of this thesis is to show the evolution of the industry and the economythroughout the German Democratic Republic, its origins, development and transitionafter its dissolution.In the thesis it’s explained the creation of the economical and industrial model in theGerman Democratic Republic, the characteristics of its productive system and thegovernmental economic plans. It’s also shown the dismantling of this structure afterGermany’s reunification.                                                                                                            El objetivo del trabajo es mostrar la evolución de la industria y la economía en laRepública Democrática Alemana, sus orígenes, desarrollo y transición después de sudisolución.En el trabajo se explica la creación del modelo económico e industrial en la RepúblicaDemocrática Alemana, las características de su sistema productivo y los planeseconómicos gubernamentales. También se muestra el desmantelamiento de estaestructura tras la reunificación alemana.
