For this transmission to future generations to be possible, these stories require a connector to attract the reader, in this case the anthropological dimension, but, nevertheless, the various adaptations are created and told according the era.The aim of this TFG is to provide a new viewpoint of the 20TH and 21TH century version of the myth of Medusa. Is she really a self-made monster or was she created that way? To examine and answer these questions, the method used was the comparative literature studies.The result was that Medusa was raped and punished in revenge. This conclusion has been made possible considering other preexisting reinterpretations of the myth. Medusa did not wish to be a monster and the characters of the 20TH century literaturechosen were force to be.
