AB This doctoral thesis project will present the findings of the first combined analysis of clinical trial data aimed at evaluating the benefit of potassium chelation. The results will emanate from paired and network meta-analyses with the aim of evaluating the response to commercial potassium binders, that is, how to achieve and maintain normal serum potassium, and the association between this response and an optimal blockade of the renin-angiotensin system. -aldosterone (RAAS) required by individuals with heart failure or resistant hypertension, who may also be taking other hyperkalemia-inducing drugs (FIHK; eg, β-blockers, heparin, etc.), and frequently have chronic kidney disease ( CKD).
