RT info:eu-repo/semantics/article T1 Avance para el estudio del poblamiento del territorio meridional de Castilla-La Mancha en época romana A1 Carrasco Serrano, Gregorio A2 Ediciones Universidad de Valladolid K1 España-Historia K1 Historia Antigua AB Among the different Roman town nuclei observed in the southern area of the present territory of Castilla-La Mancha, Libisosa is firstly highlighted as a colony. Also there is epigraphic witness of Laminium where specific mention is made of is status as municipium. For their part, nuclei that can reach a privileged status would be Oretum, Mentesa and Sisapo. On the other hand, the situation of this territorial scenario will determine it becoming a genuine crossroads of routes, around which a complete series of mansions will be established (Ad Palem, Mariana, Parietinis, etc.). Along with these nuclei in this zone there are also various villae located, to which must be added the necropolies, towns, etc., that all form the structure of the Roman settlement of this southern area of the Meseta.
