Datos de plateros vallisoletanos de finales del siglo XVIII

Abstract

En el panorama decadente de la platería vallisoletana del último tercio del siglo XVIII, se advierte que la Congregación de San Eloy, la cofradía gremial, sigue defendiendo los intereses de los orfebres vallisoletanos frente a los intrusos, amparándose en las ordenanzas reales de 1771. Hay también en estos momentos otras querellas de interés sociológico.

By the third quarter of the 18th Century the art of the silversmiths in Valladolid was already on the wane, but we can see that the guild, known as the "Congregación de San Eloy", continues the defence of the interests of the silversmiths of Valladolid against those from outside. They invalead the Royal Decrees of 1771. At this moment in time there were also other controversies of a sociological interest.
