We document our work on the development of apps forsmartphones and on how to use recorded sensor data. As a finalresult, some interesting outcomes are obtained from the surveysconducted on the students about the use of these applications andtheir mLearning experience in general. These results show that thestudents are very interested in using smartphones as a complementto a more traditional learning. Finally, the influence of using thedeveloped applications on students' grades and engagement wasalso analyzed. The results of this analysis prove that the use ofsmartphones highly improves students' engagement. PB Francisco José García-Peñalvo.
