<summary type="text">The Latin grammarians of Late Antiquity denied that the article belonged to a separate class of Latin words. They recognized, however, that one of the syntactical functions of the pronomen was denominated articulare pronomen or articulus (e.g. hic magister, hic sacerdos, haec sacerdos). A pointed discussion arose among grammarians regarding the syntactical function of the articulus when it preceded indefinite pronouns such as alter, alius; in these cases, some held, the pronouns turned into nouns, inasmuch as they ceased to be indefinite upon being preceded by a definite article (e.g. hic alter, hic alius). Priscian supplies light to appreciate the importance of the discrepancies among grammarians in their debate over the syntactical functions of Latin pronouns.

By means of this analysis it becomes clear that rhematic subordinate clauses, which are placed in front, bear emphatic value, and in this case the main clause is thematic.

<summary type="text">It has been generally accepted until today that there are many thematic and linguistic coincidences between ancient Greek romances and Apocryphal Acts of the Apostles; it is a very dangerous affirmation without an exhaustive analysis of the texts. With this paper, whose first part is devoted to phonetics and morphology, we try to fill a gap in the study of Acta Pauli and Acta Petri. We do this from a linguistic point of view, comparing those texts with Xenophon's Έφεσιακά after Mann's work, in order to modernize it. We can see some parallelisms relating to contents, but not to language.

The occurrence of this construction also in the hippocratic treatise Morb. IV should make us establish new conclusions about the ionic dialect and the development of the κοινή.

<summary type="text">The Homeric expression φάρμακα μητιόεντα is only attested in 8 227. The expression is isolated by its meaning. Μητιόεις;- is an epithet of Zeus. φάρμακα combines with other epithets. The creation of the expression is due to the combination of the formula Διός: μητιόεντος with Διός θυγάτηρ and the secondary separation by the expression έχε φάρμακα. Διός is placed far away from its epithet so that μητιόεις ends up being referred to the closest word φάρμακα.
