Este artículo tiene como meta aclarar los perfiles biográficos de dos humanistas que a menudo fueron confundidos por llevar el mismo nombre, idéntico apellido y ser ambos canónigos de la catedral de León. A partir de investigaciones llevadas a cabo en el Archivo Histórico Provincial de León y en el de la catedral, hemos podido comprobar no sólo que se trataba efectivamente de dos personas distintas sino también que les unía un vínculo familiar. En efecto, Antonio de Obregón y Cereceda, el autor de los Discursos sobre la filosofía moral de Aristóteles impresos en 1603 es el sobrino nieto de Antonio de Obregón, el traductor de la Precatio dominica de Erasmo. La herencia es patente tanto a nivel de la canonjía, en la que Antonio de Obregón sucede a su tío abuelo como a nivel literario.
This article aims at clarifying the biographical profile of two humanists who often were mixed up because they had the same name and first name and both were canons of Leon's Cathedral. Researches in the historical provincial Archives and Cathedral Archives in Leon confirm that they are not only two different people but they have family ties. Indeed, Antonio de Obregón y Cereceda, the author of Discursos sobre la filosofía moral de Aristóteles printed in 1603 was the grandnephew of Antonio de Obregón, the translator of Erasmus' Precatio dominica. The inheritance is obvious concerning the canonicate in which Antonio de Obregón follows his granduncle and their writings.
