Data Juliana. Simplificar el calendario

Abstract

El humanista José Justo Escalígero fue el inventor del calendario juliano, un sencillo sistema que pretendía unificar los existentes, numerosos y diferentes entre sí, y ser un sistema eficaz para medir y ordenar el tiempo. Según indica el propio autor, fue llamado así para honrar la memoria del emperador Julio César, cuyo calendario rigió la vida de Europa desde los romanos.

The humanist Joseph Justus Scaliger invented the julian date, a simple system to unify the numerous and different calendars, and an effective system for measuring and ordering time. As indicated by the author, the calendar was named to honor the memory of Julius Caesar, whose calendar ordered the life of Europe since the Romans.
