Isabel la Católica y Colón en Medina del Campo

Abstract

Este trabajo pretende realizar una síntesis sobre las relaciones personales de Isabel la Católica y Cristóbal Colón en Medina del Campo (Valladolid) en relación a los preparativos del tercer viaje de Colón o “Viaje Fantástico”. El objetivo es presentarlo como Trabajo de Fin de Grado (TFG). El núcleo de la investigación son estos hechos históricos ocurridos en la villa vallisoletana de Medina a finales del siglo XV, concretamente en 1486, fecha anterior al inicio de la empresa colombina y en 1497, antes del tercer viaje. Estos acontecimientos reúnen una serie de matices historiográficos que pueden enriquecer y facilitar la realización de un trabajo de análisis bibliográfico. Además, es un privilegio contar con Isabel la Católica y Cristóbal Colón en el desarrollo del argumento, ya que ambos personajes son de gran trascendencia histórica.

This paper is a synthesis dealing with the relationship between Isabella the Catholic and Christopher Columbus in Medina del Campo (Valladolid) when the third voyage of Columbus was getting prepared. The investigation focus on these facts which took place in Medina del Campo Villa, in Valladolid. It was at the end of the 15th century, specifically in 1486 just before the start of the Columbus enterprise, and in 1497, just before the third trip. These historical events collect a series of historiographical hints which enrich and make easier the composition of this biographic paper. Furthermore, it is a privilege having Isabella and Cristopher in the development of the argument, since both are very important figures in history.
