A finales del siglo XVIII tuvo lugar la reforma de los colegios mayores hispánicos y del colegio de Bolonia. Sólo uno sobrevivió a esa reforma, el de San Clemente. La supervivencia de este colegio se debe precisamente a quien, junto a destacados hombres de la monarquía, causó la caída del resto: Francisco Pérez Bayer. En este artículo se pretende dar a conocer la visita de Pérez Bayer a los colegios hispánicos establecidos en Bolonia, el colegio de San Clemente y el colegio Vives, y sacar a la luz un memorial hasta ahora desconocido sobre la reforma del primero y la anexión al mismo del segundo, enviado por Bayer al secretario de Estado Ricardo Wall en 1757.
At the end of the XVIII century, there was a reform in the hispanic hall of residences and the Spanish College at Bologna. Only one survived to this reform, which was the San Clemente. The survival of this hall of residence was due to the one, with prominent men of the monarchy, who made the others fall: Francisco Pérez Bayer. In this article it is tried to make known the visit of Pérez Bayer to the hispanic hall of residences established in Bologna, the San Clemente and the Vives and to release a memorial, unknown until now, about the reform of the first one and the addition to this one of the Vives, sent by Bayer to the secretary of State Ricardo Wall in 1757.
