Componentes ilustrados en la práctica de la exposición en el Montevideo tardo-colonial

Abstract

Sobre la cuestión de la exposición en el Montevideo tardo-colonial, señalamos cómo algunos de los grandes temas ilustrados con respecto a la pobreza se transforman o pierden la trascendencia que tenían en la metrópolis; pero otros aspectos de la problemática de la pobreza tienden a reproducir las soluciones ilustradas españolas.

As regards the matter of housing abandoned children in the late-colonial Montevideo, the author of this article points out how some of the great topics of the Enlightenment related to poverty are altered or lose the significance that they had in the metropolis; however, so me other aspects of the problems of poverty tend to reproduce the solutions of Spanish Enlightenment.
