El estado de sitio en las Cortes de Cádiz y el Trienio Liberal

Abstract

La investigación da cuenta de la evolución legislativa y de las prácticas políticas relativas a la institución de la plaza sitiada y el estado de sitio militar y político en la España del período 1808-1835. Se demuestra que el liberalismo gaditano ocupó estas instituciones principalmente para la defensa del ejército y el del Trienio amplió su uso para fines políticos.

The research shows the legislative evolution and the political practices related to the institution of the military and political state of emergency in Spain in the period 1808-1835. It is demonstrated that the liberalism of Cádiz used these institutions for the protection of the Army and that the Trienio widened them for political purposes.
