El nacimiento del escultismo en Palencia (1914-1919): los exploradores

Abstract

Es necesario realizar una revisión del movimiento scout palentino, ya Que los exploradores protagonizaron el asociacionismo juvenil palentino, en su vertiente burguesa, desde 1914 hasta la Guerra Civil. Ninguna organización juvenil tuvo una trayectoria tan amplia como los exploradores en Palencia, ya Que surgen en plena Restauración, se mantienen durante la Dictadura de Primo de Rivera y la República y llegan a pervivir hasta la Guerra Civil. De ahí el interés de completar y profundizar el estudio del escultismo palentino por la importancia Que dicha institución tuvo como uno de los primeros antecedentes históricos del asociacionismo juvenil en la provincia antes de la Guerra Civil y del surgimiento de las organizaciones juveniles falangistas (O.J y F .J).
