Las publicaciones universitarias de Madrid y el primer franquismo

Abstract

Al terminar la Guerra Civil, el sistema científico español se encontraba desmoronado. Poco o nada quedaba de las estructuras desarrolladas en el último tercio del siglo XIX y comienzos del XX. Desde el conocimiento de la historia de la Universidad y de la de sus publicaciones, puede intuirse el entramado de circuitos de poder que las universidades sustentaron durante el franquismo. La ciencia y el academicismo como pretexto, camuflaban los procesos de legitimación ideológica del régimen. En este artículo se indican algunos de los ejemplos más significativos de las publicaciones de letras y derecho de la Universidad de Madrid y el CEU durante los primeros años de la posguerra. En la Revista de la Universidad de Madrid, la Revista de la Facultad de Derecho de Madrid, y el Anuario del Centro de Estudios Universitarios, aparecen firmas y textos capaces de llamar la atención hoy, quizá tan solo por su abultado renombre en unos casos, aunque en otros por la densidad y calidad de su obra posterior.

On having finished the Spanish Civil War, the scientific system was literally worn down. Little or nothing was staying of the structures developed in the last third of the 19th century and beginning of the XXth. From the knowledge of the history of the University and of that of its publications, there can be felt the studding circuit of power that the universities sustained during the Franco's regime. The science and the academic life were the pretexts that camouflaged the processes of ideological legitimization of the political regime. In this article are indicated some significant examples of the publications in Arts and Humanities and Law at the University of Madrid and CEU during the first years of the post war historic period. In the Magazine of the University o( Madrid, the Magazine of the Faculty of Law of Madrid, and the Yearbook o( the Center of University Studies, there appear signatures of authors and texts that are capable of calling our attention today, probably only for their bulky renown in a few cases, though in others for the density and quality of their later work.
