La utilización del método de análisis comarcal: las condiciones de vida y de trabajo en la industria textil andaluza y en la cuenca de Ter, 1836-1900

Abstract

Se analizan comparativamente las condiciones de vida y trabajo de las áreas andaluzas: Málaga, Sevilla, Cádiz y la industria lanera de Antequera, con la cuenca del Ter (Cataluña). No se pretende encubrir el ensimismamiento en el que se encuentran en nuestro país estos análisis. Apenas si se ha cubierto el aspecto más aparente en algunos ensayos que han servido, a modo de ensolvedera, para fundir tintas en las primeras luces de un tosco aprendizaje. En síntesis, se trata de empezar a contestar a la pregunta: ¿cuál es el coste real del proceso industrializador? Y aún más: ¿qué efectos se derivarán de las insostenibles condiciones de existencia de la clase obrera cuando el sistema comience a fluctuar? Como se podrá observar el artículo se mueve en el terreno del análisis básico y en el de una mesurada proyección social.

This paper makes a comparative study of the living and working conditions between the regions in Andalucía (Málaga, Sevilla, Cádiz and the wool industry in Antequera) and the Ter basin in Cataluña. It doesn't try to conceal the brown studies that we have in our country about theses analyses. Hardly have we covered the more evident aspects of some essays, that like a paint brush, have mixed different colours in the first light of a rough learning. To sum up, this paper tries to answer this question: what is the actual social cost of the industrializing process? And what is more, what results will be derived from the untenable living conditions of the working class when the system begins to fluctuate? As it will be noticed, this paper is in the field of the basic analysis and a moderate social projection.
