Este ensayo pretende sintetizar lo que sabemos sobre los protagonistas de la crisis de la Restauración. Se estudian así los principales actores políticos del momento (los actores sociales se presentarán en un próximo artículo), desde Alfonso XIII hasta la misma nación española, pasando por la élite política, los partidos, el Ejército y la Administración civil. El panorama esbozado contribuye a entender la dinámica de problemas de solución, muchas veces contradictoria, a laque se enfrentará con escaso éxito entre 1941 y 1931 la Monarquía de la Restauración.
This essay aims to summarize what is known today about the protagonists of the crisis of the Restoration. The leading political forces of the moment are examined (the social force will de discussed in a forthcoming article) from Alfonso XIII, through the political elite, the parties, the army and the civil administration to the Spanish nation itself. This outline aids us in understanding the dynamics of the problems, with their often contradictory solutions, which the Monarchy of the Restoration was to confront, to little avail, between 1914 and 1931.
