La transcripción íntegra de un texto manuscrito, escrito al parecer por un dignatario español, en el que se hace una interesante descripción de la Polonia de la segunda mitad del siglo XVII ocupa la segunda parte de este artículo. En la primera tratan de solventarse los problemas de autoría y datación de la citada "descripción", se comentan y analizan los aspectos más relevantes de la misma y se enmarcan en el contexto de las relaciones diplomáticas entre España y Polonia durante este periodo.
The main body of this article provides the faithful transcription of a manuscript, apparently written by a Spanish dignatary, who presents an interesting description of Poland in the second half of the XVII century. As an introduction to it, the preliminary study includes not only an analysis and commentary of its mist relevant aspects but also an attempt to solve the questions of authorship and date is well as to relate the account to the background of diplomatic relations between Spain and Poland at the time.
