El presente trabajo pretende seguir la evolución del estudio de las vías romanas en la Península Ibérica desde los primeros ensayos realizados en el siglo XV, hasta las actuaciones más recientes en las que se observa el desarrollo de una metodología propia dentro de la ciencia arqueológica.
De esta manera se puede comprobar el interés que ha suscitado, y suscita, entre los
investigadores, esta línea de investigación, diferente en cada época, y los métodos que se han ido perfeccionando, pues se han ido añadiendo elementos de estudio para las calzadas, así como innovadoras técnicas de análisis.
In the present paper I try to follow the evolution of the Roman road’s studies in the Iberian
Peninsula since the first essays, made in 15th century, to the most recent activities, where we can see the development of an own methodology into the archaeologist science.This way we can prove the interest that has aroused, and raises, among the experts, this line of research, different depending on the period, and the methods that have been improved because of the addition of elements to the road’s studies, and also innovative technics of analysis.
