The aim of this work consists in studying a votive nature inscription in the municipality of Malagón, province of Ciudad Real. This epigraph is actually found embedded in one of the walls of the façade of the Cristo del Espíritu Santo Hermitage belonging to the aforementioned municipality. The inscription in question is of interest as it constitutes the only confirmed proof of Mars' worship within the territorial scope of the province of Ciudad Real, even though other Roman cults have been documented here.
El objetivo del presente trabajo consiste en el estudio de una inscripción de carácter votivo procedente del término municipal de Malagón en la provincia de Ciudad Real. El epígrafe se encuentra actualmente empotrado en uno de los muros de la fachada de la ermita del Cristo del Espíritu Santo perteneciente a dicho término municipal. La inscripción tratada resulta de interés por cuanto constituye el único testimonio de culto a Marte constatado en el ámbito territorial de la provincia de Ciudad Real, donde están documentados, sin embargo, otros cultos romanos.
