Since the far-reaching 1992 reform, the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) has been subjected to three more major modifications, being in 2008 the last one so far. Consequently, we can ask wheter we are witnesses to a new approach that consists in promoting the multifunctionality and market integration of farm produce instead of its susidization. This paper analyses this hypothesis by studying 2003 and 2008 reforms since the Commission proposals to the final agreements and concludes that the results found do not lend full support to the aforementioned hypothesis.es
