Liderazgo político femenino: El caso de Podemos y Ciudadanos

Abstract

Mujer y política son dos palabras que no siempre han estado unidas. Las mujeres hanpasado de estar excluidas en la participación política a liderar partidos políticos. Por ello, elpresente trabajo busca analizar el desarrollo del liderazgo político femenino en nuestro país através del estudio de los casos de los partidos emergentes: Podemos y Ciudadanos, realizandouna comparativa entre dos mujeres que representan a estos dos partidos políticos tan diferentesa nivel autonómico. Este es el caso de Inés Arrimadas, líder de Ciudadanos en Cataluña, yTeresa Rodríguez, líder de Podemos en Andalucía. Analizar el concepto del liderazgo, surelación con la presencia de la mujer en la política y el estudio de la trayectoria de los partidosemergentes españoles son los objetivos de esta investigación relacionados, al mismo tiempo,con el afán de profundizar en el análisis de los discursos de Arrimadas y Rodríguez. Así, estetrabajo examina un total de diez intervenciones de las lideresas Inés Arrimadas y TeresaRodríguez para conocer su comunicación verbal y no verbal y los temas que incluyen en susalocuciones.

Women and politics are two words that had not been always linked between. Womenhave made it from been excluded in politics to lead main political parties. Thus, the mainobjective of my assignment is to analyze the development of female political leadership in ourcountry in two specific cases, the emergent political parties: Podemos and Ciudadanos, makinga comparative between two women that represent those so different parties in a regional level.This is the case of Ines Arrimadas, head of Ciudadanos in Catalonia, and Teresa Rodriguez,head of Podemos in Andalusia. To analyze the concept of leadership, its relation with womenpresence in politics and the study of the career of emerging political parties in Spain are thetheoretical targets of my investigation, directly related with the deep analysis of the speechesof Arrimadas and Rodriguez. With the aim of answering the objectives, the present assignmentwill study the main theme, and also the characteristics of verbal and non-verbal language. Tenspeeches where the leaders show a positive attitude when facing a speech tilting their bodiesforward or waving their hands with the back of the hand downwards, in addition, they usethemes directly related to CIS´s polls about the main worries of citizens in 2018. However,well entered in XXI century, there is no occupational equity between men and women, not inPodemos, nor in Ciudadanos.
