The present article approaches a functional analysis of the Executive Committee and its role in the institutional strengthen and the future of Central American Integration System. The study parts from a diagnosis over the Committee functions in the year 2015. Which allows the knowledge of the condition by that date and the days to come, bringing us to the 2018, along with its progresses and limitation in relation to the system’s decisions, orders, and attributions, internal functioning and procedures for the presentations of presidential announcements. It is shown clearly the role of this Committee in the reflection of the future of the regional integration, specifically in the institutional strengthen as a fundamental objective.
El presente artículo contiene un análisis del funcionamiento del Comité Ejecutivo y su papel en el fortalecimiento institucional y el futuro de la integración regional centroamericana. El estudio parte de un diagnóstico sobre el funcionamiento del órgano en el año 2015, que permite conocer el estado del órgano a esa fecha y posteriormente pone al día sus avances y limitaciones al 2018 en relación a la ordenación del sistema, sus decisiones, el ejercicio de sus atribuciones, su funcionamiento interno y el procedimiento para la presentación de mandatos presidenciales. Se evidencia el papel del órgano en la reflexión sobre el futuro de la integración regional, específicamente en el fortalecimiento institucional como objetivo fundamental.
