El propósito de este Trabajo de Fin de Grado es analizar los ejércitos que se enfrentaron en la batalla de Las Navas de Tolosa en 1212. En este caso, el estudio se ha centrado en las huestes de Castilla y del Imperio almohade. En el análisis de los ejércitos, se ha prestado atención al reclutamiento, composición, financiación y abastecimiento y la aproximación del tamaño y pérdidas de los ejércitos. Además, se hace un análisis del contexto histórico de la Peninsula Ibérica antes de 1212.
The objective of this Degree Dissertation is to analyse the military armies which clashed in the battle of Las Navas de Tolosa in 1212. In this case, the studio has focused on the armies of Castile and the Almohad Empire. This work will discuss these armies’ recruitment system, composition, funding and supplies, and it will try to estimate their sizes and the military casualties caused by the battle. Additionally, it will analyse the historical context of the Iberian Peninsula before 1212.
