La familia Pizarro, entre Trujillo y Perú

Abstract

Este trabajo ofrece una visión de los miembros más destacados de la familia Pizarro que participaron en la conquista del Perú. Se profundiza en sus orígenes, trayectorias vitales, principales acciones y en la descendencia de los miembros más relevantes. También se resalta la creación de una red transoceánica entre Perú y Extremadura. Se refleja la importancia de esta familia, tanto por el impacto que tuvo la conquista del Imperio Inca, como por la repercusión de sus acciones en Indias, sobre todo por los bandos que formaron y los enfrentamientos entre pizarristas y almagristas. También se considera los últimos años en la Península de Hernando Pizarro, el único de la familia que regresó a su tierra

This work offers a vision of the most outstanding members of the Pizarro family that participated in the conquest of Peru. It deepens into its origins, life trajectories, main actions and the progeny of the most relevant members. It also stand out the creation of a transoceanic network between Peru and Extremadura. It reflects the importance of this family, both because of the impact that the conquest of the Inca Empire had, as well as the repercussion of their actions in the Indies, especially because of the bands they formed and the confrontations between pizarristas and almagristas. Also it´s considered the last years in the Peninsula of Hernando Pizarro, the only one of the family that returned to its homeland
