Mujeres en prisión: maternidad e hijos

Abstract

El presente Trabajo de Fin de Grado versa sobre la situación que atraviesan algunas mujeres en nuestro país debido a la comisión de conductas tipificadas como delito y que pasan parte de su vida tras las rejas de diferentes prisiones. Esta situación que por sí misma no es positiva, se agrava en algunos de los casos en los que estas mujeres tienen en su compañía a hijos menores de edad que pasarán parte de su infancia entre los muros de un Centro Penitenciario, recrudeciendo la pena de la madre y extendiéndola a sus propios hijos. En este contexto es primordial la figura del trabajador social, ya que a pesar de que el número de mujeres con hijos en prisión sea minoritario deben de garantizarse sus derechos y el Interés Superior del Menor.

The present Degree Final Project deals with the situation that some women in our country are going through due to the committing of behaviors typified as a crime and spend part of their lives imprisoned. This situation, which is not positive by itself, is aggravated in some cases in which these women bring in their minor children who will spend part of their childhood behind the walls of a Penitentiary Center, multiplying the mother’s sentence and extending it to their own children. In this context, the figure of the social worker is paramount because of, despite the fact of the number of women with children in prison is a minority, their rights and the Minor’s Highest Interest must be guaranteed.
