Percepciones y valoraciones de los problemas que afrontan los solicitantes y beneficiarios de protección internacional: un estudio cualitativo

Abstract

La mayoría de los refugiados han estado y están expuestos a pérdidas, eventos traumáticos y múltiples factores estresantes causados tanto por los hechos que les obligaron a abandonar sus hogares, como por las barreras que desafían a su llegada al país receptor. El presente trabajo reporta los resultados de entrevistas realizadas a diferentes perfiles de solicitantes y beneficiarios de protección internacional en España con el objetivo de analizar sus más acentuados problemas. Este estudio cualitativo expone el dificultoso proceso de integración del refugiado desde su llegada a Europa, constituyendo para este colectivo una carrera llena de obstáculos a sortear y la cual se encuentra agravada en los momentos más próximos a su llegada al país receptor. Además, cabe destacar como todo este proceso se ve agudizado con la población procedente de países no hispanohablante y/o que parten sin su unidad familiar ni otras redes sociales. Además, la siguiente investigación avala la incapacidad de los órganos supranacionales y subnacionales para favorecer la adaptación del refugiado y que constituye así una crisis en el sistema de refugiados europeo.

Most of the refugees have been and are at risk of loss, exposed to traumatic events and multiple stressful factors of stress caused by the reasons that forced them to leave their homes, but also by the barriers that challenge their arrival in the host country. In this work we would like to presents the results of interviews conducted among different profiles of applicants and beneficiaries of international protection in Spain in order to analyse their most accentuated problems. This qualitative study reveals the difficult process of integration of the refugee since his arrival in Europe, setting a process full of obstacles to overcome by this social group, which is aggravated in the closest moments of the arrival in the receiving country. In addition to that, it should be noted that this process is exacerbated by the population from non-Spanish-speaking countries and/or people leaving without their family unit or other social networks. Besides all this, the following research confirms the inability of supranational and subnational institutions when it comes to promote the refugee's adaptation and thus arises a crisis in the European refugee system.
