La historiografía tradicional siempre ha querido demostrar una gran diferencia entre Isabel y Fernando,
los Reyes Católicos, en lo que se refiere a su relación con las artes. Los investigadores han
escrito muchos y profundos estudios sobre la colección de la reina Isabel, pero han mostrado escaso
interés en el papel del rey de Aragón respecto a las artes. Sin embargo, muchos documentos muestran
que Fernando sí estuvo interesado y que reunió una importante colección de obras de arte,

Traditional historiography has always wanted to demostrate a big difference between Isabella and
Ferdinand, the Catholic Monarchs, towards the Arts. Scholars have written many and clever essays
about the collection of Isabella, but they have shown little interest in the role played by the King of
Aragon in Arts. However, many documents say that Ferdinand had great interest on it and gathered
an important collection of pieces of art, overall tapestries. This essay wants to collaborate in the improvement
of the importance of Ferdinad of Aragon in the development of Arts.
