El presente trabajo de investigación se emplea dentro del ámbito académico competente al Grado de Educación Social de la Facultad de Educación y Trabajo Social perteneciente a la Universidad de Valladolid. Dicho estudio, presentado a través del Trabajo de Fin de Grado, tiene como finalidad abordar la cuestión sobre el juego patológico en la actualidad y su relación con la figura del Educador Social, a modo de reivindicación de esta ocupación. Por medio de la recopilación de información sobre el tema a tratar, se pretende establecer una relación entre las necesidades de las personas que padecen adicción al juego y el papel clave que juega el Educador Social dentro de su proceso de prevención y rehabilitación, con especial atención a un grupo social vulnerable como son los jóvenes. A su vez, se realiza una breve indagación sobre el tema en la comunidad de Castilla y León y en la ciudad de Valladolid.
The present research work is used within the academic field competent to the Degree in Social Education of the Faculty of Education and Social Work belonging to the University of Valladolid. This study, presented through the Final Degree Work, aims to address the issue of pathological play today and its relationship with the figure of the Social Educator, as a way of claiming this occupation. Through the collection of information on the topic to be addressed, the aim is to establish a relationship between the needs of people suffering from addiction to gambling and the key role played by the Social Educator in its prevention and rehabilitation process, with special attention to a vulnerable social group such as young people. In turn, a brief investigation on the subject is carried out in the community of Castilla y León and in the city of Valladolid.
