Música y juego, recursos para la adquisición del inglés en Educación Infantil

Abstract

Este Trabajo Fin de Grado intenta dar a conocer la importancia que tiene la adquisición de una lengua extranjera a temprana edad, en Educación Infantil. Para ello, se pone en valor la utilización de las canciones y de los juegos como herramientas educativas que potencian la adquisición de la lengua inglesa. En la primera parte del trabajo se relacionan, por una parte, el uso de canciones con la hipótesis del input lingüístico y, por otra, el uso de juegos con el método TPR; todo ello bajo un enfoque socio-constructivista. En la segunda parte, se presenta una propuesta didáctica articulada en actividades secuenciadas para tercero de Educación Infantil. Promueven la adquisición de la lengua inglesa, especialmente de la comprensión oral, a través del uso de juegos y canciones. Para finalizar, se concluye con la utilidad que presentan la música y los juegos en Educación Infantil, para promover la adquisición de la lengua inglesa y proporcionar al alumnado una educación óptima e integral.

This paper tries to highlight importance of the acquisition of a foreign language at an early age, in Childhood Education. For this, the use of songs and games is valued as they are educational tools that enhance the acquisition of the English language. In the first part of the paper the use of songs is related, on the one hand, to the linguistic input hypothesis and, on the other, the use of games to the TPR method; all under a socio-constructivist approach. In the second part, a lesson proposal is presented with a set of sequenced activities for the third year of Childhood Education. They promote the acquisition of the English language, especially the oral comprehension through the use of games and songs. To conclude, the usefulness music and games have in Childhood education is highlighted, since both promote the English acquisition and provide an optimal and well-rounded education for learners.
