Abstract

Se resume a continuación la metodología seguida en la elaboración de este artículo sobre las fotografías iniciales de la Villa Savoye (1929-30), gestionadas por Le Corbusier, realizadas durante las obras o justo al final de estas, y que se utilizaron en las primeras publicaciones de los años treinta. Se continúa así una línea de investigación explorada anteriormente y aplicable a las imágenes icónicas de otros edificios de la modernidad, reproducidas continuamente, pero con frecuencia clasificadas sin rigor. El estudio de las fotografías consiste básicamente en: (1) localizar (archivos, publicaciones), (2) catalogar (autor, fecha) y (3) analizar (morfología y expresión de categorías arquitectónicas).

The methodology followed in the elaboration of this article on the initial photographs of Villa Savoye (1929-30) is summarized below. These photographs were managed by Le Corbusier, were taken during the construction works or at the completion of them, and were used in the first publications of the thirties. Thus, a line of research explored previously is continued. This is applicable to the iconic images of other buildings of modernity, which have been reproduced continuously, but have often been classified without rigor. Basically, the study of the photographs consists of: (1) locate (records, publications), (2) catalogue (author, date) y (3) analyze (morphology and expression of architectural categories).
