Canon versus fándom: trabajo ciberperiodístico sobre la narrativa transmedia en Harry Potter

Abstract

La narrativa transmedia es una realidad presente día a día en los medios de comunicación, pero, ¿existe realmente un marco teórico a cerca de lo que es y cuáles son sus implicaciones? Este reportaje multimedia pretende reflejar la importancia de la narrativa transmedia en la actualidad tomando como ejemplo la ficción creada por J. K. Rowling en su obra, Harry Potter. El objetivo no es tan solo conocer las manifestaciones llevadas a cabo por el canon en diferentes plataformas, sino abordar también las creadas por el fándom de la saga, los llamados potterheads. Con este trabajo profesional se pretende exponer las razones por las que Harry Potter constituye un perfecto ejemplo de éxito transmediático, y la importancia que ha tenido su comunidad en él.

The transmedia narrative is presented in media daily. One may ask if there is a theoretical frame about what it is and what are their implications. This multimedia report aims to reflect the importance of transmedia narrative today, taking as an example the fiction created by J. K. Rowling in his work, Harry Potter. The objective is to know the manifestations carried out by the canon on different platforms and to approach those created by the saga's fandom, the so-called potterheads. This professional work aims to explain the reasons why Harry Potter is a perfect example of transmedia narrative and the importance its community has had in it.
