El presente trabajo pretende realizar un viaje general por la indumentaria y la forma de vestir de los miembros masculinos de la monarquía hispánica en sus épocas de esplendor. Así, se presenta la evolución de la vestimenta a la española a durante los siglos XVI y XVII y cómo va siendo sustituida por el vestido a la francesa a lo largo del siglo XVII. Estos cambios coincidieron en el tiempo con el declive de la dinastía Austria española mientras emergía la dinastía borbónica francesa como potencia, algo que incidirá en la forma de vestir de la Corte.
The present work aims to make a widespread journey through the clothing and dress of the male members of the Hispanic monarchy in their times of glory. Thus, the evolution of spanish dress is presented during the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries and how it was replaced by the French dress throughout the seventeenth century. These changes concurred in time with the twilight of the Spanish Austrian dynasty while the French Bourbon dynasty rised, something which influenced the Court dress mode.
