Trabajando con los alumnos de sexto de primaria sobre la sociedad del s. XXI en paralelo con la del s. XIX: redes sociales versus "Pride and prejucide"

Abstract

En este trabajo expondremos una propuesta didáctica que desarrolla el tema de las redes sociales y las TIC con el fin de introducir estos elementos tan presentes en nuestra sociedad, especialmente tras la pandemia de Covid.19, en la enseñanza primaria. La propuesta va dirigida específicamente a los alumnos de sexto curso. Como guía utilizaremos la obra maestra literaria Pride and prejudice de Jane Austen y las particularidades sociales del s. XIX que relata, ya que tiene grandes similitudes con la realidad que vivimos en la actualidad y nos servirán de base para la propuesta educativa que planteamos. Pretendemos utilizar el libro como herramienta para trabajar diferentes actividades y enfoques, todo ello en lengua inglesa, ya que es el idioma principal de las nuevas tecnologías. La meta consiste en lograr un aprendizaje seguro y en valores que permita a los alumnos el uso de las nuevas tecnologías de una forma adecuada, mientras progresan en su completo desarrollo.

Due to the Covid-19 reality and the quarantine or lockdown we all have been under, our world has changed and with it the way we communicate between each other. With this project we mean to educate the students, future members of our society and components of the new ones to come, in the use of new technologies so that they can adapt to them and become an active part in using social media as a tool in their teaching-learning process in a correct and responsible manner. To do so, we will take the vision of our reality and compare it with the characteristics of the similar reality of the 19th century through Jane Austen eyes, specifically using the novel Pride and prejudice as a guide for the educative proposal within this paper. Based on English, as the international language of communication that is nowadays and the importance it has, all these components are focused on creating motivation in the students, so that they can properly develop themselves and be qualified for anything they want to become in the future.
