Propuesta de intervención lingüística en el barrio Pajarillos con adolescentes en riesgo de vulnerabilidad socioeducativa: the english lab

Abstract

Este TFG presenta una propuesta de intervención en el barrio de Pajarillos, Valladolid, en el que se coopera con la asociación PajarrillosEduca en coordinación con sus objetivos interviniendo en uno de sus focos de actuación, en este caso el laboratorio de idiomas, en los que se lleva a cabo una serie de unidades didácticas en inglés para trabajar diferentes frentes de actuación. Los principales frentes de actuación de la propuesta son la búsqueda de la apertura y mejora del barrio y la dotación de herramientas básicas para la vida real a un grupo de adolescentes que, por su vulnerabilidad socioeducativa, de otra forma, probablemente no tendrían opción a conseguirlas. Estas herramientas con principalmente la mejora en la convivencia entre ellos y con otras culturas y el refuerzo del inglés en un grupo que prácticamente carece de conocimiento en esta lengua por ser en muchas ocasiones la cuarta lengua. Para conseguir estos objetivos se han utilizado una serie de metodologías tanto para la enseñanza de la lengua como para el desarrollo de actitudes positivas para la paz y la igualdad en el barrio que analizaremos más adelante y se ha buscado actuar siempre en la línea del currículum para apoyarnos en la realidad normativa del contexto en el que actuamos.

This work shows an example of a lesson plan to put in practice in the neighbourhood of Pajarillos, Valladolid, in cooperation with the association PajarrilosEduca and coordinating with their main goals in one of their branches of the association, the English Lab, in which some lesson plans are exposed to work different fronts of education. The main targets of this lesson plan are to open the neighbourhood and to upgrade it into a more open and free space, and to endow the participants with some basic tools for their daily lives who, because of their situation, would find it difficult to acquire them in any other way. These tools are, overall, the improvement in the interaction and cohabitation between the participants, within the neighbourhood and among other cultures and the reinforcement of English language in a group that hardly ever have used or listened to it because of the lack of importance in their environments, being their 4th language most of the times. To acquire these objectives, some methodologies have been used, for the language teaching as well as for the development of positive attitudes towards peace and equality within the neighbourhood which will be developed later on, and to work with the actual legislation in the curriculum has been a necessity since the lesson plan has been developed in a particular context.
