Tartessos. Una cultura de influencias

Abstract

En el entorno cultural del sur de la Península Ibérica, tras los Millares y El Argar, surge Tartessos, a finales del Bronce Antiguo, constituido por un grupo de gentes del suroeste peninsular que había formado una confederación de pueblos que estuvieron influenciados por gentes extranjeras; fenicios y griegos, que tras el empuje de los Pueblos del Mar penetraron en la península. Tras un periodo de desarrollo tecnológico y expansión económica, se produciría una crisis que llevaría a la desaparición, siglos después de la cultura tartesia.

In the cultural environment of the southwest of the Iberian Peninsula, after the Millares and the Argar, Tartessos emerged, at the end of the Ancient Bronze, constituted by a group of people from the area of the southwest peninsular that had formed a confederation of peoples that were influenced by foreign people, Phoenicians and Greeks, who after the push of the Sea Peoples penetrated the peninsula. After a period of technological development and economic expansion, a crisis would occur that would lead to the disappearance, of the Tartessian culture.
