La cerámica neolítica en el valle medio de Ebro

Abstract

El Neolítico es uno de los periodos más importantes en el desarrollo de las sociedades humanas y un punto de inflexión. En los últimos años se ha avanzado mucho en la investigación sobre las cerámicas de dicho periodo y en este trabajo vamos a realizar una contextualización y revisión de los estudios sobre la cerámica del Neolítico Antiguo que se ha llevado a cabo en el Valle Medio del Ebro. De la mano de los yacimientos involucrados en este proceso pretendemos ofrecer una imagen del tipo de recipientes, las distintas técnicas de manufactura, tamaños, formas, tratamiento de las paredes e instrumentos que se utilizaban para hacer las distintas decoraciones y sobre todo la forma de cocer las piezas para que dejaran de ser arcilla y se convirtieran en cerámica.

The Neolithic is one of the most important periods in the development of human societies and a turning point. In recent years, much progress has been made in research on pottery from this period and in this work, we are going to contextualize and review the studies on Early Neolithic pottery that have been carried out in the Middle Ebro Valley. From the sites involved in this process, we intend to offer a picture of the type of vessels, the different manufacturing techniques, sizes, shapes, fabric and instruments that were used to make the different decorations and, above all, the way the pieces were fired so that they ceased to be clay and became pottery.
