El presente trabajo tiene por objeto el acercamiento filosófico a la noción de silencio en la concepción Plotino desde dos perspectivas fundamentales: la contemplación de la Belleza y los límites del pensamiento discursivo. Asimismo, sendas aproximaciones convergen en la comprensión de los diferentes modos de conciencia y las distintas hipostasis que vertebran la filosofía del autor neoplatónico. Plotino presenta una particular exégesis de los textos platónicos que culmina en una síntesis magistral y original con tintes tanto aristotélicos como orientales: la búsqueda de la simplicidad.
The purpose of this work is the philosophical approach to the notion of silence in the Plotinus conception from two fundamental perspectives: the contemplation of Beauty and the limits of discursive thought. Likewise, both approaches converge in the understanding of the different levels of consciousness and the different hypostases that structure the philosophy of the Neoplatonic author. Plotinus presents a particular exegesis of the Platonic texts that culminates in a masterful and original synthesis with both Aristotelian and Oriental influences: the search for simplicity.
